(To give police Authority to manage the home, give trespass notices, remove and if necessary arrest in case of unscheduled parties, unwanted guest, etc., during the time the homeowners are gone.) Call Takers Obtain the Home Watch binder. Completely fill in owner information. (Blank copies are located in the binders; please photocopy the last one before using) Read to the homeowner the disclaimer provided in each binder. E-mail all Sergeants /OIC of new entry Place copy on 8 Day Board. Officer in Charge Check Home Watch Binder once notified via E-mail. Ensure, manpower permitting, the homes are checked and the owner information sheets to clerical staff. Police Officers Check the homes(s) listed in the Home Watch binder. Complete the table at the bottom by filling in date, time, results, officer’s surname and officer badge number. Make an entry into your memorandum book. Return Home Watch binder to Officer in Charge of Platoon at the end of shift. Clerical Staff Send a letter to the homeowner thanking them for their participation mentioning the amount of times their home was checked. File Home Watch Sheet alphabetically as a record along with a copy of the mailed letter attached. Purge file of Home Watch Sheets when the mail letter reached 3 months old Add the homeowners surname to the Totaling Sheet as a record of users per calendar your. *****DISCLAIMER***** The Home Watch service provided by the Rama Police Service in no way guarantees that your home, while you are away, that crimes will not occur.
